Teaching journalism in high school

Here are the pictures when I, and senior journalist Pak Hari, gave a three-day session on journalism to students at SMK Theresia Menteng. Actually we didn’t expect them to be enthusiastic about journalism, but their responses were quite surprising. They asked some difficult questions like did Times breach Code of Ethics and Law when it published its version of Soeharto’s wealth? They were also concerned about global warming and SEA Games as mostly they picked stories from those events when they were assigned to produce their own newspaper.
